Wearables and formulas can guess at your fitness. We measure it directly. Using validated metabolic gas analysis, VO2testing.ie provides precise, individualised testing that tells you exactly how your body performs — and exactly what to do with that information.
Whether you're chasing a personal best, training for your first event, or simply want an objective picture of your health, our testing gives you data you can actually act on.
Laboratory-grade equipment - validated metabolic analysis, not wearable estimates
Individualised results - every report is explained in plain terms with practical next steps
For everyone - athletes chasing performance and anyone wanting an objective picture of their health

Daniel is a graduate of Trinity College, Ireland, where he earned degrees in Physiotherapy and Physiology, and was awarded a highly prestigious scholarship during his physiotherapy education. His dual background in physiology and clinical practice gives him a deep understanding of how the body performs under load — the exact science behind VO2 max, threshold and metabolic testing.
Daniel oversees our physiological testing service, ensuring every VO2 max, threshold and performance assessment is conducted to the highest standard and interpreted with genuine clinical and sport-science expertise — not just a number on a printout.
In his spare time, Daniel stays competitive across soccer, cycling, running, swimming and weight training. A former competitive rugby player up to university level, he has since turned his focus to triathlon and has completed multiple Ironman events — giving him first-hand experience of exactly what your test results mean for training and racing.

Apurva is originally from India and moved to Ireland to further develop her career. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with First Class Honours and has a MSc in Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Galway. This gives her a strong grounding in the physiology behind performance testing, not just clinical rehab.
Since qualifying, Apurva has gained diverse experience across physiotherapist and exercise physiologist with Galway United Football Club. She applied physiological assessment directly to elite athletes for performance and conditioning.
Apurva brings the same thorough, evidence-based approach to testing that she applies clinically: careful assessment, attention to detail, and clear communication of results so athletes understand exactly what their numbers mean and how to use them.
Outside of work, Apurva enjoys a variety of sports and workouts. She's also a keen badminton player and has competed at inter-district level.
